I've been working on a fable with the moral 'A strong man stands up for himself, but a stronger man stands up for others'. The story is about two boys (Mike and Mitchell). One day their soccer ball got kicked over the fence, but they were too scared to get the ball. Listen to my podcast to hear what happens. By Kyle.
Learning Intention:
Kyle has been learning to communicate a message to his audience. Do you think he has shared his moral well through the story? He was also practising using expression in his storytelling. How do you think he went?

Hi Kyle -
We have just listened to your story 'Two Scared Boys'. We really liked it, especially the bit about the blood being all over Mitch. We thought that maybe you could make your story longer, adding in more interesting words and telling us what happens next.

Hi Room 5. Thanks for your comment. I loved the blood too. I think you are right about the interesting words, but Mr Norrish did ask us to keep it short like the Aesop's fables we have been reading.
Thanks again...Kyle
Hi Kyle -
Great fable and especially your use of expression! It was good to hear a little skip in your voice to ensure your story is interesting.
How did Mitch keep on playing if there was so much blood around and he was torn apart by the dog?
Maybe a suggested improvemnent could be to have Mike go over to help protect Mitch from the dog and / or made sure he was looked after if he was hurt badly.
Still very impressive for a first attempt!

Hi kyle
What colour was the ball? That was a good effort for your first time!
The ball was red and white.
Hi Kyle - it is cool how you used expression and changed pictures so quickly. It was funny at the end!

Hi Room 8
I have watched short movies and read through everything on your blog page. What an awesome room of kids and thanks for sharing neat ideas and what your've been up to. I love the photos too.
I was really interested to see how you had other schools' blogs on there too. A fantastic way to keep in touch with other schools around the country.
Well done room 8.
Keep blogging!!!
